Twenty strength athletes will take on an extraordinary endurance challenge when The Bigg Pull 2026 gets underway on 2 November, pulling a truck approximately 1,671km from Pretoria to Paarl to raise awareness and funds for participating charities.

Among them is strength athlete Roy Colin, a member of the Power Team, who has chosen Girls & Boys Town South Africa (GBTSA) as his beneficiary.

Through this demanding challenge, Roy aims to raise funds for the organisation’s work supporting vulnerable children and young people, while bringing greater attention to its mission of Healing Heartbroken Children.

Roy recently visited GBTSA’s Kagiso campus, where he learned more about the organisation’s work and connected with its mission.

His participation in The Bigg Pull offers an opportunity to turn this support into meaningful action by encouraging the public to contribute towards GBTSA’s programmes.

Running from 2 November to 12 December 2026, the challenge will see athletes push their physical limits while rallying public support for their chosen beneficiaries.

Under the campaign’s shared-cost model, GBTSA will receive 80% of net donations raised for the organisation, with the remaining 20% retained by the organiser to cover event and platform costs.

Members of the public are encouraged to follow Roy’s journey, register through The Bigg Pull portal and support his fundraising efforts for GBTSA.

Every contribution will help the organisation continue its work with children and young people who need care, support and opportunities to build brighter futures.
