Momentum: Strategic Advice for Women in Business

By Unaiza Suliman
November is a powerful month.
It is not the beginning of the year, where ambition is loud and resolutions are fresh. It is not yet December, where reflection takes over. November is the month of momentum, where serious women in business decide how they will finish the year and how they will be remembered.
As women building brands, companies, and legacies, we carry more than targets. We carry expectations, responsibilities, and often entire ecosystems that rely on our leadership.
This is not the time to slow down. It is the time to sharpen.
Here is my advice to women in business who want to close this year strong and position themselves strategically for 2026.
- Protect Your Authority
Authority is not about volume. It is about clarity.
As women, we are often pressured to over-explain, over-accommodate, or over-compensate. In business, that dilutes power.
In November:
- Tighten your messaging.
- Speak decisively.
- Avoid unnecessary justifications.
- Set boundaries in negotiations.
You do not need to prove you belong in the room. Your results have already done that.
Leadership is quiet confidence backed by consistent execution.
- Audit Your Positioning Before Year-End
The market evolves quickly especially for women-led brands.
Ask yourself:
- Are you positioned as a premium authority or a convenience option?
- Does your online presence reflect your current level of success?
- Are you charging according to your value?
November is the month to refine:
- Your pricing strategy
- Your brand visuals
- Your content narrative
- Your client targeting
Women often underprice. Leaders do not.
Step into the value you provide.
- Master Financial Control
Financial intelligence is power.
Before December distractions begin, ensure:
- Outstanding payments are followed up.
- Q4 revenue targets are clearly mapped.
- Expenses are optimized.
- Tax planning is proactive, not reactive.
Profit is not accidental, it is structured.
Women in business must normalize financial literacy. The more control you have over your numbers, the less emotional your decisions become.
It is the space between effort and elevation. Between where you are and where you are going.
Women in business do not need permission to lead boldly. We need discipline, strategy, and clarity.
Close this year with authority.
Refine your standards.
Protect your power.
And walk into 2026 not as someone hoping for opportunity but as a woman who commands it.
