Ham and Cheese Butter Swim Biscuits

Ingredients:

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tbsp baking powder

1 tsp salt

1 tbsp sugar (optional)

1 1/2 cups buttermilk

1/2 cup diced cooked ham

1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C).

2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Stir in buttermilk, ham, and cheese until just combined.

3. Melt butter in an 8×8 baking dish in the oven.

4. Pour biscuit dough over melted butter and spread evenly.

5. Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.

6. Let cool slightly, then cut and serve warm.
