AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) is proud to announce the unveiling of four park homes generously donated to healthcare facilities in KwaZulu-Natal. These park homes are set to alleviate space shortages and significantly increase consultation space for patients, enhancing the quality of healthcare services provided in the region.

AHF, a US-based non-profit organization, has been dedicated to providing healthcare services and advocating for HIV/AIDS initiatives in communities worldwide. This initiative underscores AHF’s commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure and access in KwaZulu-Natal.

The four park homes are strategically located in Umlazi clinics, specifically in sections G, N, and AA. Each park home is equipped to facilitate healthcare services efficiently and offer a comfortable environment for both patients and healthcare providers.

By addressing space shortages in healthcare facilities, AHF is deeply grateful that these park homes will help ensure that patients in KwaZulu-Natal receive the healthcare they deserve, particularly in the context of the chronic stream illnesses.

“Amongst many projects and initiatives, AHF supports government primary health facilities with much needed infrastructure support, to facilitate the delivery of healthcare services to our patients.

One of these projects include this fully-furnished and equipped park home, which we have kindly erected for these facilities at the recent past”, said AHF South Africa National Medical Director, Dr Logandran Naidoo at the unveiling ceremony.

The new park homes will provide much-needed consultation rooms, allowing healthcare professionals to offer private and confidential consultations to patients. This expansion of space will contribute to a more comfortable and efficient healthcare experience.

Therefore, by increasing the capacity of our health facilities, AHF aims to reduce waiting time taken for patients when receiving healthcare at the facilities. The additional consultation space will help streamline patient flow, ensuring that every patient receives timely and comprehensive care.
The unveiling program included key speakers from AHF South Africa, healthcare facility representatives, and local community leaders who spoke at length on the impact of these park homes on healthcare delivery and patient care.
