The National Education, Health and Allied Workers’ Unioun will be visiting the workplaces today on the 12 June 2020 at the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro in the Eastern Cape Province.
The visit is triggered by the alarming number of members that have been affected by the Corona Virus in the province, the members have been exposed to the invisible virus at their workplaces.
The aim of the visit is to address the issue of the lack of Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E) in the work places, the unioun says in some cases members have died due to the Covid19.
A number of Schools were also forced to temporarily shutdown not less than a week due to the number of recorded positive Covid-19 cases in Schools since the re-opening of schools the pastweek.
The Corona Pandemic is affecting everyone in the country and we are advised daily to take precautionary measures to protect ourselves and our loved ones, remember to wear your masks at all times when leaving your home, to wash your hands atleast 20 minutes with a soap and to also Sanitize more often.
