The destitute Limpopo family will have a house build for them to restore their mobility and dignity.
The impoverished family of 2 ladies aged 19, Dipolelo, 22 Karabo and a 17 year old boy Thoriso from Ga-Motodi village(Moshate section) outside Burgrsfort will have a place tgey can call home.
During visit to their place where they stay they told us how they spend sleepless night during this rainy season. They fear being raped or maimed during the night and sometimes they fear that the house may collapse and end up killing them.
Dipolelo whose waiting for matric results wrote his exams at Moukangoe secondary school. She said ” l was indeed tired of bothering our neighbours, who allowed me to read and prepare for exams in their houses”.
What is so amazing is that they are the only house in the village without electricity connection to their house.
Dipolelo said “Our biggest sin is that our mother passed away during 2012 at the time we were very young”.
The family that was left emotionally, psychologically and physically disturbed after their mother’s death says their grandmother’s dilapidated block brick house is leaking and falling apart.
Now they survive using their foster care social grant to buy basic food staff, clothes and water.
Now their appeal to government and the business community in the social media for a low cost house be build for them to restore ther dignity as enshrined by the constitution of the republic reached out to generous people willing to help the family.
Tomorrow, Wednesday 7 January 2025 is a sod-turning ceremony for the construction of their house.
Dipolelo said “Eskom knows our situation and since April last year they have continued to send us sms messages with reference number but nothing has happened.
