Ajax Cape Town’s application to interdict the start of the 2018/19 premier league season which starts on the 4th of August 2018 has been postponed until the 26th of July 2018 which is on Thursday.
This comes after the PSL released fixtures for the new PSL season however, these fixtures did not include Ajax.
On Tuesday the 24th of July 2018, the South Gauteng high court, postponed the matter to Thursday 26th of July 2018, pending the outcome of the Premier Soccer League’s leave to appeal, which is set to be heard at 09:00 am on the same day.
The matter will now be heard at 11:30am on 26th of July 2018, Thursday morning.
The PSL is appealing the decision to set Adovacte William Mokhari’s ruling.
A few weeks ago advocate Mokhari ‘s ruling saw Ajax automatically being relegated to the National First Division for fielding Thendai Ndoro. The Zimbabwean striker played for Ajax and this was his third club of the season.
This was against Fifa’s laws.
Meanwhile, the CEO of Ajax said that they won’t give up, He further added that: “If it has to be that we play in the NFD because we’ve lost the fight, then we’ve lost the fight but until such time we’ll keep on fighting,” Ajax Cape Town CE
