It was reported that former Kaizer Chiefs striker Mike Mangena is taken in questioning by police after a drug lab was found in his property Randfontein, Johannesburg.

According to the publication, the smallholding in a plot owned by the 58-year-old– is in a farming area with livestock situated in Hillside.

Mangena handed himself over to police, and three other men were arrested on the scene after a police raid uncovered the drug lab used to manufacture mandrax.

Police spokesperson Lieutenant Lungelo Dlamini said the raid of the property was undertaken after a crime intelligence investigation was conducted.

“When we came to the place we found chemicals and we believe that they are manufacturing mandrax. These chemicals and equipment are worth millions of rand. At this stage we have arrested three suspects who were found on the premises,” said Dlamini.
